Maternity Session in Columbus, Ohio, at Alum Creek
It never feels like it in the moment, but once your days of being pregnant have passed, the memories of how it felt get a little slippery. The tenderness you feel for your little one, instinctively protecting and rubbing your belly. The tiredness in your legs and feet, and the sweet relief of sitting down. That feeling of fullness - so much so that it’s literally hard to breathe. The anticipation as the days tick by, and the preparation of your home and heart in order to welcome new life.
As a Columbus, Ohio maternity photographer AND a mama of two young kids of my own, I know how important it is to find a photographer who shares your vision. You are not just a number to me.
I work carefully with each client to come up with a plan for capturing this season of life in a way that feels true to you and your family. This is done through a consultation call where I learn all about your family dynamic, what makes you unique, places that have sentimental value, and your vision for your images. I offer maternity sessions either on location or in your home, showing as much or as little belly as you’d like, with the intention of making beautiful and creative images that feel like YOU.
For the session I shared here, this couple loved to walk their dog at Alum Creek. They wanted to celebrate their last days as a family of three (I’m counting the pooch!) before becoming a family of four, and that included showing how much they adored their sweet pup.
