A little background about Motherhood Minis:

If you’ve been following me for awhile you know that each spring I host an annual fundraiser. As a family photographer in Columbus, Ohio, I have met some of my most loyal, wonderful clients through these events AND I get to do something that positively impacts my community, so it’s a tradition I cherish and want to continue. It started in 2016 when I was asked to donate mini-sessions to raise money for the Columbus Babywearing library, which I did for three consecutive years. I also participated in a Front Steps Project in 2020, raised money for the Young Mother’s Fund with Elaine at Columbus Birth Arts in 2021 and raised $850 for Friends of the Lower Olentangy Watershed in 2022.

2023 Sessions and how to sign up:

WHAT: This year I’m raising funds for Kaleidoscope Youth Center. Their staff works alongside queer youth to create free programming, housing, and support services here in Columbus, and all over the state of Ohio. My goal is to raise $1000 for the organization, with your help!

WHEN: Sunday, March 26th. Contact me to secure an exact time. Event will be held rain or shine.

WHERE: Motherhood sessions will be held back-to-back in ten minute intervals at Wild Goose Creative’s art gallery and event space. Think high ceilings, large windows, white walls covered in artworks created by local artists, and comfy couches for snuggling.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: Any person who identifies as a mother. Also, this can be what you make it – breastfeeding pics, maternity pics, grandmas with their grandchildren - they’re are all welcome. However, due to limited space and time sessions must be kept to 1-4 people per group. And unfortunately, since this event is taking place on private property, I ask that you leave all fur babies at home (it makes me sad too!).

COST + HOW IT WORKS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM PRIOR YEARS:

Sessions are $100 and include 10 minutes of photography and ONE digital image of your choice. That $100 is donated directly to KYC through Go Fund Me and is required to secure your spot.

AFTER seeing your gallery, if you’d like to upgrade you will have two options to do so.

Option 1: Five of your favorite digital images for an additional $100, paid to the photographer.

Option 2: All of your digital images PLUS $100 of print credit for an additional $200, paid to the photographer.

Why do I have it set up this way? I truly want everyone who feels passionately about this cause to be able to participate. If your budget only allows you to support the organization, I absolutely want you to come and walk away with a beautiful image. However, if you are also able to support the artist, that is always welcome and deeply appreciated.

Want a spot? Reach out here and I'll get you set up! I'm so excited to have something positive and uplifting to look forward to this spring :)

*Because this is donation-based, I will not be able to give a refund if you sign up but then cannot attend.

**Want to get involved but don’t want pictures? You can donate to my GoFundMe for KYC here.
